You've got a point. Sure, I can tell the difference. I may not know the subtleties of the color names, but I can tell there is a difference. It's just that I don't care. White, cream, whatever. Their both shades of the same color, and it doesn't make a difference to me, just as long as I have a beer, can see the TV without too much glare, and my team is winning.

You need to be careful though. It could be a trap. She may really like one more then the other and just wants you to verify the decision that she has already made but wants to look like she's considering other options. So if you pick the wrong one, watch out.
