Not the Future I found this riddle on reddit, it has a quite interesting atmosphere compared to the usual riddle and it has some reoccuring themes such as war and human primates
The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

Something like "hours/days/momths needed to earn enough money to buy xxx" and "price of xxx", I think. I thought of houseprices, but 500.000 is still a bit much for an average house - I think...
[edit] Still a bit much for hitting a small ball around for 4 days in a row as well
Are we talking golf scores and prize amounts? Golf, to some people, is like the Holy Grail...
@Helantren - In Toronto $500,000 for average house is not an exaggeration...
EDIT:
I checked the British Open:
"Willie Park, Snr won the 1866 British Open with a tournament score of 169 on the Prestwick Golf Club course and brought home $9 for his victory."
2000 British Open Results
Results and prize money from the 2000 British Open on the Old Course at the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (par 72) in St. Andrews, Scotland (a-amateur):
Tiger Woods, $759,150 67-66-67-69-269

You can have it pearla . Though you'll have to admit that your 2:35 "golf scores and prize amounts" answer was slightly less precise than my 2:38 "hitting" one.....
Just so you are not going to look at that for two days without knowing even what to ask (at least that's what happens to me) here is a category: Health and life style...

That's what they call 'unknown variables', I think !
Let's see what we can see....
x -as:
- weight (or rather mass) in pounds? Then 54-73-91-109-128 kg -> could be
- age in months? 10-13.3-16.7-20-23.3 years
- time in minutes? 2-2.7-3.3-4-4.7 hours
Y-axis
All values seem to be fixed in relation to purple x-value:
blue: 1.15
red: 0.9 (last one, 262 is probably typo, should be 252)
green: 2.85
=> not much to go on, unless 262 is true and s'thing happens between 240 and 280, but I think some more data to the right would have been included...
- red and blue almost average to purple: male/female?
Y - It is 262!
The exact ratio is not important. But 1. the fact that all the greens are higher than the other colours and all the reds are lower than the other colours, etc 2. the fact they are consistently higher as is the X axis- these should be clues...

I think I'll go with time then; even those countries that still lag behind in daily life tend to use proper metric values for this sort of data. Besides, 54-128 kilo doesn't seem a very 'useful' range.
If I have to choose between months and minutes, I'll go with minutes; again, 10-23 years doesn't really make sense, or at least less sense than 2-5 hours

So, we have three events/characteristics that consistenly grow for the first 4 hours, then one of them suddenly speeds up, even if it is just by a small amount
Something to do with energy spent while sitting/lying/walking ?
