Not the Future I found this riddle on reddit, it has a quite interesting atmosphere compared to the usual riddle and it has some reoccuring themes such as war and human primates
The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

Continuum Hey, has anyone tried this one? CONTINUUM
This one fits better with "Guess WHAT it is" than WHERE it is...
Is it on earth? Does it have anything to do with film studio? Is the "lense" the small circle in the middle or the big one? Please explain to a layperson if this "lighting" technology is similar to a "flash".

No, it's really a good Where in the World. Yes, I'm on earth. Nothing to do with a film studio. I don't really understand myself how the photograph is created by the scientific process used to find the place. But it isn't simple photography, so don't think in that direction.
OK, so I've been reading about the photographic process. No flashes.
O.K. Is there a reason why a special camera and scientific process should be used on this place. Is it because we would not see some details if we didn't use this method? In other words: It is not a regular aerial photography and I want to know why.

A "regular" camera would not be capable of taking this picture. This isn't really a camera, but I wouldn't get too deep in the weeds on trying to figure out the technology. It's enough to know you would need a special way of getting the picture.
It isn't an aerial photograph. I said it was from above. Not necessarily the same thing.
You haven't answered my question: why do we need a special photography here?
If it is not an aerial photography only an image from above, how big is the photographed area? Room size? Stadium? Cookie? Is it underwater? Is it in a cave?
You even found that the central thing is a light, which my site didn't explain.
Actually, that was my own deduction after studying the picture, you can see something in the middle of the circle that shines three ways, so I figured that had to be a source of light as the shadows are outwards on all sides
