The creator made it because he thought that riddles like Notpron were too hard.

Oh yeah, hardly any white houses in Massachusetts... and even when you find the right one ... here, in Lenox, Massachusetts, you can't find out what it is... hopefully someone else can ID it better.
yes, celli, i did do the family tree -- relatively easy when white (English as opposed to Dutch ) history here is only a bit over 200 years. And, hey, Hel, we are all proud of our convict ancestry these days!
Amazing that they would advertise that house in Lenox, MA, it is the right house, but I know for a fact that it's not in Lenox. Not too far away from it though, no more than 10 km.
And it's not just any old house, in fact I don't think anybody actually lived there, it was built for another purpose. From what I understand the house below can be found on the grounds as well and is part of the ''whole picture'', although I didn't see it when I vistited there some years ago, but we didn't have much time then, so I could have easily overlooked it.

Sounds like a movie 'set'.... I found that Good Will Hunting was filmed in part in Stockbridge, less than 10 km from Lenox, but I can't find those two houses there. Most of it was filmed in Boston anyway (as most Massachusetts movies are, it looks like ). Jaws on Martha's Vineyard is too far away.
And yet sooooo close .....not a movie-set though.
The red house was actually lived in by the person around whom my original picture is revolving, lived and worked in.
