Bolaf the "hinter" was hinting to the Dutch connection not neccessarily to Rapunzel
- Well, the Dutch connection was hint #1.
- And Rapunzel (aka locked up in a tower) was hint #2. Now I see that the Dutch wiki doesn't seem to mention that locked-up-thing which I found on a German page about this building and its history. So it might be just a rumor, however an interesting one, spooky, spooky.
Now that Bruja solved, this is the German site I mentioned. They say that during restauration works around 1950 some hidden stairs were found. The stairs led to a secret chamber where a nobleman (one of the enemies of the former landlord von Isendoorn) had been mured. The ghost of the nobleman is still around and is said to appear as a blue flame behind the windows.
