Re: Cryptomania Some doesn't decode properly :confused3 0Th5F1-> ‹LINK_s rvqTvTV S60˜’  |
Re: Cryptomania You just proved that those bytes don't represent a text file... (The string 'LINK' is an inside joke by me, couldn't resist) Now what kind of (binary) file might this be? |
Re: Cryptomania Hex color codes? Or it could be file signatures and isn't it 57 not 54? |
Re: Cryptomania No colour codes. The file sequence starts after '->', so we have to find out what kind of file those 54 bytes represent... perhaps it would be a good idea to analyze their header... |
Re: Cryptomania 1f 8b 08 is for GZIP |
Re: Cryptomania :arms: Yeah! And can you open this as gzip? Aren't you curious what it contains? :lol: |
Re: Cryptomania If i can decode it :tongue: |
Re: Cryptomania The quickest way would be using a (local or online) hex editor, and save it as 'file.gz'. Then you could just open/doubleclick it - given your pc knows how to handle *.gz files. Oh, I just love such high-level hacks! |
Re: Cryptomania I don't have a Hex editor :tongue: Online ones don't work properly. I tried to copy the text into notepad, save as a .gz file and open it. Doesn't work. |
Re: Cryptomania Ok, I admit this is a very special step, so I do it for you. The gz-file, when opened, contains a file (named '_'), which, when opened in any text editor reveals this: EPRDKDGVWPVQ KEY IS SOLUTION#180 |
