Re: Cryptomania

The Hoffman being Philip Seymour I suppose, who played Truman Capote who wrote Breakfast at Tiffany's but where does Bill Murray come in?

By the way:
Bill Murray was supposed to hint to one time pad (Groundhog Day! over and over again ;) so you used capote multiple times for the pad) But i guess Vigenere worked out the same answer.

Something to do with George Smiley and/or John le Carré :)?

Re: Cryptomania

Spoiler:
A one time pad using repeated letter key and addition/shift (as opposed to full length binary and XOR) is identical to vigenere...

... Smiley and/or John le Carré ...
The smiley isn't relevant to the method, but I hope the carrés ring a bell... ;)
