All of them are important.
And no, its not hours/minutes, but you figured out that AM or PM is what you need. Don't forget the clue :)

After several days and several posts I'm still in the dark here, we've learned that:

Correct. One of them (AM/PM) you need. Rib hints at the right one.

In short: "Rib" is important, "Hours" is important... but it's not "Hours". We need either AM or PM, "Rib" hints at the right one, but we need all of them, and we should focus on Canada....
And I still have no clue about what "rib" represents, of what can an hour be if it's not an hour, or how to apply AM or PM to hours that are not hours, but from the Canadian point of view....

I'm frustrated.... :frown: I need a hint to understand the hints and another hint to apply them... and this is just to be able to begin trying to think about an approach -any approach- to solve the encrypted message....

Re: Cryptomania

Two finds I haven't yet mentioned because their entropy is too low to produce distinct data; their meta properties, however, might be relevant:
- There's no duplicates in the original range of the 16 'hours' (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23).
- The 'minutes' are in the range [1...16] which equals the number of the original 16 values.
Both could be as coincidental as the 'A RIB' sequence, though.

And another nonsense (the only one I dare mention, you'd laugh even more if I post all my other ideas): PM can refer to Prime Ministers, and that could make sense when talking about the country as a whole....

Re: Cryptomania

Prime Minister :) :) That's what the hints were referring to. (I'll explain after someone solves ;) )

Re: Cryptomania

Prime ministers called Adam then :)?

Or PMs of Canada :doubt:?

Not #/letter in full name though: 11:09 doesn't fit R. B. Bennett

I've already been playing a bit with the list of Canadians PMs, but.... I don't really know what to do, my attempts didn't yield any meaningful result

PMs of Canada :) If you get a string of letters, thats the first step. (you might already have the first step done ;) )

Re: Cryptomania

Well.... I have several strings of letters, the lists I found (wiki's one, for instance) give them two different numbers, one of them stops at the 25th PM, so I guess that's not the right one. Regarding the other one (counting not the unique persons, but the presidents, even if they are "repeated" -so to say-) it has more than 29... I made several strings, as their names are not the same in all the sites (some second names that don't appear, or the site uses just the first letters of their names, or names them by surname and forget the first name....)

So... what can we do with the letters? Maybe having a hint about how to use them helps picking the right string and disregarding the rest....

11:09 would be Bennett, but there's the issue of repeating people. I can tell you there's one exception that changes the numbering a slight bit.

Think PM. You did the Prime part, (Prime Rib ;) ) Now do the M part.
