I arrived from the source of the sun
into this new, golden morning.
I stand on the morning beach.
Pressing my feet into the fine sand.
Into my hands, my feet, my heart
My eyes, my ears and my thoughts
streams live new and powerful
when in the night I drunk from the source.
Give, that I do right,
Give, that I do with love
With this hands and feet
And offer my strength to others.
into this new, golden morning.
I stand on the morning beach.
Pressing my feet into the fine sand.
Into my hands, my feet, my heart
My eyes, my ears and my thoughts
streams live new and powerful
when in the night I drunk from the source.
Give, that I do right,
Give, that I do with love
With this hands and feet
And offer my strength to others.
Burglers and thiefs
About fifteen years ago burglars came into my flat. They somehow managed to climb in the late morning, unseen, into the second floor window, which I had left open as I thought nobody would ever do that.
I suppose they noticed me, still sleeping the trustful sleep of somebody who felt safe in his own home, just took the keys and some money - a lot of money - that was only there for the day collected from friends for an event. And they disappeared, still unnoticed.
I changed the lock and kept the windows closed.
Two weeks later on my way home around lunch time I noticed two boys, carrying heavy bags. I thought how funny, they have the same bags as I have... not willing to know that they are carrying my stuff. To be honest: they were two, I was alone.
But opening my door I couldn't deny anymore what had happened: they messed up my whole flat, taking everything that seemed to have a kind of worth.
Devastated I sat down in the staircase while waiting for the police.
My home was not safe anymore. Everybody could go in when ever he wanted to.
I felt so lost.
And that is exactly the same feeling I get when I receive a new bill from one of our utility companies.
Something goes totally wrong in this world!

Sorry to hear about that. I live in a high-rise, but one of the lower levels. I am always super cautious because a number of years ago, there was a balcony rapist who scaled the walls and climbed onto 2nd and 3rd storey balconies and attacked women. This was in Toronto, not where I am. But still. I'm not paranoid. If it's hot, I'll open my window. But not necessarily my balcony.
A lot of people around here store their bicycles on their balconies, next to some patio furniture, etc. A few years ago, my friend and his wife had their bicycles stolen from their 3rd floor balcony. They didn't lock up their bikes. But who would have thought someone would be able to steal 2 bikes from a balcony, and not have anyone notice? But it happened.
It's a sad state of affairs out there.Posted 06-21-2008 at 07:03 PM by Confuzzled1
