Do I Suck?

I don't know. This may sound nice to some people, and criminal to others, but I see animals as a more important figure than humans. I know, it's probably wrong, but I can't help it! Animals have so much more to give. They don't try to put others down, they enrich people's lives, they love, they teach, and most of all, they forgive. I guess that's why if I had to chose to save an animal or a person, I would WANT to save the animal, but I would save the person because I know that the animal would forgive me, and the person may not. I don't like how people go to jail for killing others, but get away with killing an animal. Hunting is a sport. Animals were here first, and we took away their homes. We act as though we are better, but coming down to the basics of love, learning, caring, and more importantly, forgiveness, which sounds better? We are lazy and selfish and spoiled. They still love us.

You most definitely do NOT suck. My dogs and I have a very special bond that my wife understands will not be broken or betrayed. My buddy, Chalupa, is my best friend. he is a taco terrier and almost 3 years old. His b-day is Valentine's day, which is fitting, cuz there is no measurement for how much I love him. We recently got a manchester terrier named Laci, who was a Katrina dog a friend of my stepbrat rescued. Sadly, the peolple who adopted her didn't have the patience to housetrain her and her experiences with the hurricane have left her traumatized about the outdoors. But we housebroke her with pee pads in a week, and she no longer shys away from us, but runs to us for comfort and love. She too, has earned a place in my heart, as every other animal in existence has, but these 2 have special meaning to me and are treated as my children, and I love them as such. So, if the ideals of loving animals make you suck, then I must suck too and my life is more fulfilling because of it.Posted 08-31-2006 at 08:37 PM by LordofShades70

No way that you suck, I also finds animals more important.....but I've got a misantrophic belief, so maybe that's why I think like I do.

i don't think you suck, sadie...i understand what you are saying-aimals are unconditional with their love and affection...there's none of the game playing and walking on eggshells that you get in interacting with people...but at the same time, i believe there are some people out there who can be cherished as much and as unconditionally as your animals!
i don't think we are all necessarily spolied and lazy...there are just so many social pressures that influence our behavior. but there are a few good ones out there still! i hope you can find some of those people to enrich your life too!Posted 08-31-2006 at 11:01 PM by banshee5150
