I Feel the Earth Move

...literally
Just a few minutes ago there was an earthquake, it was about 2:15 AM.
I had just logged out from WoW and was about to sign in to MSN, suddenly the bed started to shake. At first I thought the dog was just under the bed and was scratching, it sounded similar to it, but then the dog started barking from the outside. Next, I thought it was just my parents from the other room, but then I felt that the floor was really moving. I could hear some stuff falling in the living room, so I started calling out to my mother. I then realized it was an earthquake. I immediately went out of the room just in time to see my parents on the doorway of their room, too, apparently about to come to me. Just then the shaking stopped. I it only lasted for about a minute. I saw that the containers on top of the table where on the floor now, and even the speakers of my desktop fell. Fortunately, no one got hurt and nothing was broken, the house is intact and my parents are back asleep again. It is just now that I feel the shock of what just happened. I think back at how much worse it would have been, and I feel horrified. I thank God that everyone in my family is safe and that no one got hurt. It was an awful feeling, especially since it made me feel so helpless, all I could do was wish it would stop soon before anything bad happened. My father said it was a strong quake, but I wouldn't know since it's the first time I've experienced an earthquake. But I know that if what we felt was already strong, then I'm quite sure it would have been stronger in the epicenter. I don't know just where that is now, but I hope that wherever that may be, people are safe in there. Tonight I doubt if I can even sleep, I'm scared of the aftershocks (hopefully there are none).
