If you ever find yourself on the edge of a cliff, think; if you jump you may land on a conveniently placed trampoline, but if you stay you may be mauled by hungry ferrets.

Today I've hit a bit of a downer. I think its mainly because I am tired and when I get like that it doesnt take much to just push me over the edge.
My grandad is down from Lancaster to visit my dad for the weekend my dad phoned me up to ask if I would go over (yes not would I like to or could I go over) I said yes as I was tired but then one of my friends offered a Friday pub crawl round town to some of the "nicer" (read as expensive) pubs.
I suppose I should go on a slight tangent here and tell you I hate my grandad. I honestly don't care where he is or what he is doing. When my nan died he didnt even buy her a headstone (strike 1) he then remarried within a year to this horribly loud obnoxious woman (the total oposite of my nan) and gave her all nans nice jewerly and stuff and gave me and my dad the stuff he didnt want or was broken (strike 2) abd then when gladys (wife 2) died she got a headstone (strike 3 and youre out) Thats the short version. My dad knows how I feel so we tend to fight over that as well.
Anyways I would rather see my friends than my grandad (id rather eat my own arm than see him but anyways) so called dad who guilt tripped me to hell and back.
And then there was a really dumb thing that is so ridiculous its not even worth mentioning happened and just broke me. So yeah had a bit of a cry, had a bit of a rant, would like a bit of a hugging session if no one minds

Re: Wow....

Family is the worst. No matter what, you always seem tied to them. I can empathize with your situation, though I confess I have never had asuch an occurence in my own experience. All I can say is that we love you, rain or shine.
