Christmas Wish List

Posted 10-03-2007 at 11:19 PM by Momof2boyz

Ok people it's time to buck up and show me how much you like, or love, me. I have prepared my Christmas wish list and wish to share it with you. I know that this could be a financial burden on some of you, but guess what, I DON'T CARE...lol. Ok, just kidding. These are just a selection of the Neiman Marcus Fantasy Gifts for 2007. It doesn't hurt to dream!

Dragon Topiary

Spoiler:

Imagine Jones's face when he putters out on his riding mower Saturday morning and catches a glimpse of your new front yard. He's likely to decapitate the wife's roses. Of course, our 100th anniversary 100-foot long dragon topiary from Black Barn Farm isn't meant (just) to inspire envy.

First and foremost, it's a living, natural work of art from topiary artist Matthew Larkin, complete with gold-leafed horns, claws, teeth, and fins. With its blown-glass eyes and custom-welded steel frame, it's an investment, really.

Whipped up on your land with 15 indigenous plants, it's a gift you can give yourself and your heirs. Work some Tom Sawyer mojo, and Jonesy will be offering to trim it for you.

Price: Starting at $35,000.00

Papalotzin Ultralight and Journey

Spoiler:

We've always had a thing for butterflies. Stroll through one of our stores, browse one of our catalogs, or just bookmark our Web site, and you'll see what we mean. For our 100th, we needed something bold. Fabulous. A definitive statement, if you will.

Luckily, Vico Gutierrez shares our magnificent obsession. Leading an international conservation effort for the endangered Monarch Butterfly, he flew along on their 3,000-mile, 10-week migration from Canada to Mexico in an ultralight christened the Papalotzin (ancient Aztec for "Royal Butterfly").

To celebrate Vico's quest to keep the world a beautiful place, you can attain his original documentary-starring machine. Plus, you get to fly along in his upcoming Monarch Migration Tour. And you'll be up there, baby. The two-seater weighs just 420 lbs. It's like riding a chair through the air. Just you, the wind, and those ethereal Monarchs.

Price: $80,000.00

NM Gem Triton 1000 Submarine

Spoiler:

The future? It's right here, mateys. The folks at U.S. Submarines® whipped up our NM-Edition Gem Triton 1000 with all the sci-fi bells and whistles. ABS-certified, three-axis maneuverability. Dives to 1,000 feet. 360-degree views from your high-density acrylic bubble. Luxury leather seats with our logo. Joystick steering, with a gemstone set in the stick. Matching gemstone key chain. Air conditioning even. In this beauty, you'll be outmaneuvering Captain Nemo in no time.

Your under-the-sea dream machine comes with a comprehensive two-day training program and delivery to your secluded cove anywhere in the U.S. Scratch a fender on a sunken chest? U.S. Submarines provides worldwide service and replacement parts.

Price: $1,440,000.00

Swami Conversational Robot

Spoiler:

Fortune tellers and their tired revelations. "I sense you are in love!" as they spot your ring and hit you up for 20 bucks. Yawn. A cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence robot that recognizes family members, can carry on conversations, develops relationships, and answers questions with fact-based advice, now that's going to freak out the kids. Say, "Hey" to the Swami.

The OMG factor on this dude is off the charts. You'll swear he's human, right down to his facial expressions. How does he do it? Revolutionary character-engine artificial intelligence software. Micro-camera eyes. More than 30 robotic micro motors. All running off a PC laptop (included, of course).

Teach him to wink every time the wife walks by. Name him Mortimer. Pack him up in his suitcase and take the show on the road. OS platform? Memory cache? USB ports?

Price: $75,000.00

305-Carat Uncut Diamond Necklace

Spoiler:

Let's start by stating the obvious: size matters. Weighing in officially at 305.18 carats, it is one of the largest natural diamonds unearthed. It sparkles with rich golden, green, and amber tones yet has not been polished, cut, or altered whatsoever. The master jewelers at Diamond in the Rough® will preserve that breathtaking natural perfection and craft a one-of-a-kind necklace that you get to help design.

When diamonds were first discovered in India, royalty wore them as they were found, not daring to tamper with such intrinsic beauty. That tradition continues here, and the only limit is your own imagination.

Imagine it hanging from a golden braid of pavé diamonds, like something from the Arabian Nights. (Be sure to ask for a rotating bale on the pendant, so you can peer into its mysteries from all angles.)

Price: Starting at $1,000,000.00
