Days in the Life of ...
An End To It All

Well, I can't believe yesterday. I really can't ... but I'm going to try real hard.
First of all, the guys finally came back to fix our pipes. I took the children and went shopping with my mom and sister just to get out of the way and thank God I did. It took them five hours to clear everything but what a stinking mess they left behind!!
I didn't know any of this really. Like I said, I went shopping, then we picked up lunch and went back to my mom's to eat. Had to run home for a bit so I caught a glimpse of what the situation was like and literally felt my head spin. The mess!!!
My poor husband told me afterwards that he had done a good portion of the cleanup before we all returned home. It still took the two of us, after settling our kiddies down to a DVD, about two hours of scrubbing and cleaning and mopping...
I was so blasted exhausted I could have just laid down and slept for a week. Everything is done and fixed (except now there's a bit of a leak in the tank behind the toilet) but at least our house is back to normal.
To make it even nicer, my mom found my gold earring that I had lost last week when we went to drop my sister home. And then to wrap up this horrendous experience I come in here and notice that that sweet Nordinho hero/ine made me a supporter!!! I nearly fell off my chair but I'm going to leave that for another blog entry.
Anyways, my darlings, pray with me that that is it. No more money to dole out. No one upheavals, messes, backbreaking scrubbing to do. I just beg to the Powers that be, please just leave me enough money to make a happy Christmas for my children.

Re: An End To It All
May I assume that it was plumbers who left such a mess? If they come from a service such as Roto-Rooter, they're obligated to clean up their mess. The vast majority of plumbers clean up after themselves, (it can be a very messy job). You should cal them and demand a break on the bill because you had to make such an effort cleaning up after them.Posted 12-11-2006 at 09:59 PM by LordofShades70
