Mmmmmm...

Hello All
After a pretty stressful night of trying to explain to foreigners the Scottish licensing laws (ie you must vacant the venue after 15 minutes of last orders finishing whether you have finish drinking up whatever beverages you decided not to drink up when I tell you to beforehand - wee mini rant!), as I was driving home I was approaching a roundabout so was slowing down as the lights were turning amber. Here in Scotland some of the roundabouts have traffic lights so you dont actually give way but rather just go when lights are green.
Anyhoo when I was slowing down I saw a quick flash of lights. Not just a wee flash but the sense of the flash all around me. This happened around 02.45 (GMT) It was very bizzare cos several things past through my head at that point.
1. Speed camera - I dont think so as it was one instant flash and with speed (sorry, I mean Safety) cameras there tend to be two quick flashes, one after another.
2. Lightning - I did hear rumbles but I dont think it was lightning.
3. Something unexplainable - I cant really explain.
So what was this flash I experienced? I really dont know

Re: Mmmmmm...
Hey Jake!
Could be a sign of (the start of) migrane. My boyfriend suffers of that from time to time. With him it's mostly stress related. And stress doesn't need to be experienced in a negative way to cause this! His flashes are blue. When/if it carries on he gets a tight feeling in his head, difficulty to concentrate, read, unabality to speak (scary!) and finally the bursting headache which he finds relieving cause then the other nasty symptoms are gone. Had a demanding life lately, even if it was fun or rewarding? Might be the trigger. Still, there's no formula on how to avoid this. Some people just have the bad luck. If this is what's happening to you, don't worry. It will take a long time, but you will get to listen better to your body eventually and will know what to do or leave. Pe, one of my friends also has this, and sometimes she knows she should avoid caffeine, and at other times she must have it to feel better. Hope you had a good nights sleep and are feeling alright now!
Ps:Next time this happens and you're in your car, STOP and GET OUT asap, realy! You don't know what happens next and we're not waiting for you to have an accident!
Quote:I was driving up the motorway and my boss phoned me and he told me I'd been promoted. I was so shocked I swerved the car. He phoned me again to say I'd been promoted even higher and I swerved again. He then made me managing director and I went right off into a tree. The police came and asked me what had happened. I said "I careered off the road"Posted 05-28-2007 at 09:12 AM by speelteveel
