It has been a while again. I think Neija started this one, so just following the good (?) example

1. Been on an airplane?
Yes, more than once and I really really like it! It gives me some kind of magical feeling – all excited and happy like a little girl.

2. Been out of your home country?
Yes - broaden your horizon

3. Been on a cruise ship?
I’ve been on a cruise ship while it was being build, never on a real trip though. Except of course if you count ferries; do we count ferries in?

4. Been to Disney world?
Might be fun to go there with little kids though.

5. Gone snowboarding?
Yes, but the shoes were 5 sizes too big so it was quite difficult. The first day/night I didn’t manage anything, but when I stood on that board the next day somehow I managed to stay standing and to steer! I am not a pro at all, but I enjoy it a lot and don’t mind the falling part as long as I’m still able to get up afterwards.

6. Bought something you couldn’t afford?
Not really. I did buy some stuff I did not need while this made me short on cash.

7. Played the lottery?
Sometimes, when on a fair or when kids are at the door and sell lottery tickets for some ‘good’ purpose. I've never won anything though.

8. Won something in a contest?
Yes, amongst others a poem contest. It was more like a story and I had only submitted it because a friend of mine told me about it and I was bored in class so I wrote it then. I felt a bit guilty for winning without making an effort of it

9. Won a spelling bee?
I’ve never been in one, but I’m quite sure I would not have made it. Last exam, a professor asked me to see him since my task was so full of misspellings – he thought I was dyslectic!?! I am not, I am just extremely “sloppy” with words – inventing my own and such.

10. Stayed up all night?
More than once. I remember a sleep over party when I was 11 years and me and this other girl staying awake driving everybody else crazy with our talking and jumping and dancing and singing and …

11. Gotten a tattoo?
No, not yet.

12. Been in a car accident?
Yes , though luckily never behind the wheel and not with any serious injuries.

13. Spent all day online?
Not 24 hours, but I might have been close to 12 hours some times when I had to complete a task for school. But I do think I’ve been running around in between, since I can’t sit still for too long.

14. Pushed a door that says pull?
Every day and getting very annoyed with the door when it doesn’t open

16. Successfully kept a secret?
Untill now, yes. I like to keep my word when I promise something, so when something is told me in confidence I’ll not talk about it – unless when I think it might be harmfull but then I’ll tell the person concerned first.

17. Gotten a scholarship?
No. Never tried for it either. Here in the Netherlands government pays part of your study anyways.

18. Been in love?
I’ve had my moments

19. Been hurt by someone you love?
Not too severely, I don’t get hurt easily. And I'm very lucky with the people that I know.

Done something embarrassing? Yes
To get someone to like you? No way!

Almost. Mom says I’ll end up in jail one time for some stupid thing like climbing on buildings or such

22. Gotten a speeding ticket?
Nope, but then again I don’t have my driving license yet. I do have some tickets for cycling through the red light or cycling in the dark without lights on the bike, and some for traveling on the train/bus/tram without a ticket.

Yes

24. Lied to get out of something?
I’ve told a thousand white lies. I try to keep it down though, since I like to be sincere and some one who can be taken on her word. I never lied to damage someone else (on purpose).

When I was little yes, but mom () would send me to school anyways.

No, but I will. I’m not training for one yet though.

Yes, no excuse not to.

Yes. At school we had English, French and German (not that I speak them fluently) and while I was in Norway for a year I learned the language. I’d like to learn Spanish now.

On more than one occasion.

Yes, I tend to forget to smear and I’m often outside (preferably on the water). So I guess every year a few times.

I do not dance often, but I have made some funny moves in the rain while music was playing.

Not that I know of.

Yes, on the phone to claim that I wasn’t home

Luckily not.

Not on purpose, but I always have to think before I can tell my age

45. Broken a bone? No, though I’ve done enough strange things that would have given everybody else a broken bone. Somehow I’m just one lucky girl when it comes to serious damage.

For visits, yes.

Nope, not on my to do list either

Sure, but I grabbed the one that pushed me!

As a passenger

Yes, but only to people I know.

Not that I remember, but I might have done it on the glass of an aquarium as a kid. Not too fond of fish though.

A million! When I lived near the beach I loved to go running in the morning and see it rise, too bad it wasn’t rising above the sea though …

Yes, and I made the accompanying wish. I just don’t remember them after an hour or so, so I can’t tell you whether it worked.

55. Been snorkeling?
I’ve been swimming with a snorkel in my mouth, but it was more like drowning than snorkeling.

56. Ridden a horse?
Yes, without any lessons in the woods and on the beach! I loved it, though I knew I wasn’t in control at all and the horse just galloped away.

Daily I am terrible at remembering the way to go and I’m not that good with maps either. I have no sense of direction, but somehow it always winds up OK – usually 5 hours later or something.

58. Done something you never thought you would? More than once.

59. Been skydiving?
No, but this one is on my to do list!

Not with robes or something, but in Norway I loved making long walks through the mountains – taking the most difficult roads or preferably no road at all. I once hold on to a rock, hanging on my arms and no way to go because I though I could climb that part … Saved myself after 10 minutes though .

No, but when can I go?

No way.

Theft yes, but never so that I had to witness in court.

You better ask when I didn’t sing in the shower.

For 5 minutes perhaps. I am not a great cook - haven't got the patience for it.

Once for charity, and a couple of times because I wasn’t hungry.

I’ve written down my thoughts every once in a while and kept an ‘update’ while away from home for a long time. But to really keep a diary and write in it every day and tell about your deepest feelings – no way.

No, though one eye is not that good the other can cope with the extra effort.

Yes, both intended black and white as color movies on a black and white screen.

Please no.

Not that I remember, seen some shows of Cirque du Soleil on telly though.

Too much good food.

Yes, against some measures the university wanted to take.

, I don’t care about my hands that much. They are scarred since I write on my hands and then when there was a test or exam I had to clean them – I don’t have much patience so I was a bit rough on myself . On top of that I always claw at my wounds, so that gave scars. Its not because someone put out a cigaret on them as some people think. My nails are long, since I’m proud of having quitted baiting them. I hardly ever cut my nails though – now they are so long it doesn’t matter that I bite them a bit

Yes, not planning on having one myself though.

More than once.

Yes, though not too long. I think they are much too small and vulnerable to be handled by me.

Yes, one year long at least twice a day

Yes, and enjoyed it perfectly.

I don’t like to admit this, but yes.

I don’t know whether you can call it ‘been hit’ on, but while in England I spoke with a guy in the park. Turned out he was an old veteran and had helped liberating the Netherlands. When I left he gave me a kiss hand, but that was more ‘being nice’. I didn’t feel offended.

Yes, burned it.

88. Been in a protest?
Yes, more than once. Not too convincing though, more for the heck of it.

90. Had someone in a car honk their horn at you?
Yes, I’m having driving lessons .

91. Been ice skating?
Never on figure skates. I do like to skate on ‘natural ice’, but unfortunately it hasn’t been that cold in the Netherlands the last years.

92. Ran a red light?
I used to do it always, just minding the traffic instead of the light – I still think that is more safe when you know the area. But then I got a huge fine, since I think it cowardly to change my behavior when a police man could see it. Me and my principles… Any way, it did not impress me too much but a week later I cycled through a red light with a police man on a motor behind me. He thought I was just messing with me and disrespecting his authority by disobeying the law so openly in front of his nose. I told him I had never thought of it that way, explained my idea of save traffic and we had a 15 minute talk about it. At the end, I did promise to not to drive through red any more (not getting a fine) and since that day I try to keep my word. Though when I cycle through the city at 3 a.m. after a party I do not stop for anything.

More than once, but it doesn't always turns out that well

I guess 99% of my jokes are received that way.

Yes, I like them a lot. But I don’t like the long line to get in one, so it has been a while.

On school and in church, never really seriously and never after I was 12 years old.

Yes quite a few times. I like to climb on my roof and look over the railway and the city.

I hope not, but I’m afraid I did – my family does so I might have as a kid. I have probably suppressed it.

It is just a way to make me sleepy and to relive some memories. Oh, and to get ideas on what to do next weekend .
