Nope, not another snake, a new laptop!
WOOOO!
HP Pavilion something or other. 17" widescreen, refurbished but still fast as heck. One of those Intel core-duo things.
Finally, a laptop that I can use that won't shut itself off every 8.5 minutes.
Yay.
I got it from CompUSA. The laptop is great, however, I will never be buying anything from them again. To make sure a difficulty with my credit card was cleared up, I had to spend an hour on hold waiting for customer service (which I gave up on and hung up). On top of that, instead of shipping it overnight (as I paid for), it went ground. They were nice enough to refund my overnight shipping charge, but I don't want the money, I want the laptop! They were nearly combative on the phone, they won't give you the tracking number of whatever you ordered. IMHO they sucked. I got a bargain on the laptop, sometimes they do that, just don't expect anything too quickly, intend to take your time, and don't expect them to keep you in tune with where your order is at.

It's not a laptop, it's a storage device for pictures of your snakes
I don't like CompUSA either. I have a store pretty close by, so I don't buy from them online, but the stores never have enough salespeople. When you want one you have to follow the trail of other customers for 10 or 15 minutes before you can get any answers or have them pull stock down for you.Posted 08-23-2007 at 08:52 AM by andrew_c
