this blog is indescribable...O~o
Saturday everning shop update and news :D yay!!!!!
Today was just as busy as yesterday for me.
No time for lunch, so nothing to eat till I got off work.
I picked up THE heaviest thing today I have ever lifted.
It was soooo heavy ( How heavy was it????)
It was soooo heavy that when I lifted it, the customer grunted !!
it was a 4 foot tall tiki totem pole 6" in diameter. I grabbed it and put my hand in its mouth so I could grip it.
the guy's eyes bugged out so bad when I tossed it up and caught it on my knee to get a better grip, I thought they were gonna hit the dirt
His knees buckled, his arms went out and he went " WWWOOOOAAAAHHHH!!!!"
I thought i might have to pick him up as well for a moment
I looked at him and said, without cracking a smile.. " If this thing bites my hand, I'm gonna holler!!"
For some reason the customers seem to enjoy my little performances when they watch me load their stuff.
Honestly I enjoy watching them try to move it before I grab the stuff and toss it like play dough

We had about ten minutes of silence towards the middle of the afternoon tho.
Floyd and I were talking, and I was telling him about this lady that mentioned i should load up some cement and take to a local flea market where she lives. With our prices she thinks I could clean up.
He told me if he was going to mess with it on a Sunday and go around like that there's one place he'd go to for sure!!!
My ears literally perked up and i asked " where's that?"
I look up and there's this customer walking in the door and before Floyd could say anything, I asked him " Can I help you sir?"
and durn burn it to heck, he told me what he needed
Floyd didn't get a chance to tell me anything

I got so busy i didn't think of it till I got home, sat down on my couch and it hit me, the thought, not the couch..
And i was like all "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!"
But I did find out, we will not be opening Sundays this year. The business is getting good so far, but floyd told me he wasn't able to handle it.
I know his sons won't mess with it on the week ends, so I figure, and he already knows i'm selling stuff on the side, that I can use Sundays to load my multi colored beat up old rag tag ford and haul tail as fast as i can push it to the flea markets and pass around some cards. i was thinking a couple jacks, a king maybe... 7 of hearts.. I dunno
or maybe even print up some business cards, and pass m around so if someone wants something they can call me and i'll get it and bring with me to the flea market that Sunday.
I figure, my sis in Laurinburg started out raiding the dumpsters, and turned that into her own store for a while. well, until the landlord sold the store out from under her.
I can load up a couple one seater benches, curved and straight, some ivy seats, a couple two seater benches, some flower pots assorted sizes, some stepping stones,a couple fountains,
some of our more popular statues, etc...bring em home and paint them and load em up to the market on Sundays. Floyd already knows and it isn't like I'm going behind his back doing anything. Besides it will help us both out
Also, on the film thingy update... I've gotten permission from the lady I'm working with to post some previews and progress of the films, both of them actually. One of which will be presented to Sega for a possible buy out.
I did some prelim composite shots last night , where I took their footage and added my characters to it.
Also some lip syncing for the film as well, since I have to have my guys talking during the films. I'm taking some of my paycheck before my bills drain it dry again to order some of the molds i showed you last week.
Then after I start selling my cement products, installing fountains patios, walkways, decorating cement floors, porches, walkways drive ways with custom painted designs, etc.. I'll use that money to purchase more for the business.
For some reason this week, my energy level has been unreal. i'm talking running around non stop, loading lifting talking, cracking bad jokes, flirting here and there while talking to each customer about their stuff and telling them how to set it up / take care of it / whatever they needed to know about it.
since I'll be setting up on Sundays now, I'm taking some of the plain bench tops, and adding a mosaic pattern to them, using concrete topping mix and broken tiles to inlay designs on them. I figure if it doesn't sell, well then i'll have puh lenty of X mas gifts to pass out this year
