Here's a sample clip i filmed earlier tonight using moviestorm, a free movie making software I downloaded, that lets you control almost every aspect of creating a 3d movie.
I also found this animated water reflection software, squirlz animated water reflections, to go with it.
I combined the two to get this. Its not perfect, merely a test shot to see how the two programs would work together. I can change the water color and transparency, adjust the ripples in the water, draw on the image or avi, where i want the water to show up, and even have it rain or snow without the water ripples.
I did this in about 30 minutes. ps. if you decide you want to get moviestorm and join up over there, in the section where you register to download the program, make sure to select' referred by' and put 'tapeduck'. my alias over there
that's good for 300 points for the referrer and the refer-ee, to use in their content store to purchase different sets and props to use in the program
plus they give you 500 for joining up.
anyhoos, back to the test
I apologize for the crappy compression. i had to compress it for photobucket, but am trying to upload the full version on youtube. If i can, i'll change the link
