here's a short 30 second film
I did using the particles in c4d. This time I used 2 separate emitters, one for fire, and the other for smoke, and animated them speeding across the sky.
Sorry about the quality of the video but I had to compress it for photobucket.

I also have another sample clip with rain and snow effects, plus the ripples in the water where they hit
