Today, I met a man at a furniture factory that was closing down.
While I helped him load some factory equipment onto my trailer, he told me the plant had closed, since the owner moved his furniture production to China.
The man, his name is Barry, told me he'd worked there for twenty years. TWENTY years, and the owner kicked them all out on their rears!!
The owner is making tons of money by moving his factory overseas. But what about the workers that labored loyally for 20 years or more? Now they are out job hunting in an already overfilled unemployment situation.

Also, I heard on the radio on my way to Virginia the other day, This radio station had been collecting gifts and donations for needy families in the area, called 'Breaking in for the holidays"
After the deadline was up, they went around to several of the houses where the needy families stayed, waited till they were gone, then they would literally break into the house and leave a ton of gifts, presents, and x mas decorations for them.
this one family had the father, and his little girl, 6, either sick with cancer, or they had already passed, I missed the first part of it, and the family had nothing. no gifts, no decorations, not one thing.
the guy in charge of the break in would walk around the house, talking on his cell phone to the djs about what they were doing. his one comment literally brought tears to my eyes.
" After all the pain, and troubles, this family has been through the past couple of months, this being their first Christmas without their father, and little girl, at least for a little while they will have a few moments of joy, of not worrying over what they've been through."
Yes, I'll admit it. it did bring tears to my eyes when he said that.
I really wish that family to have a good holiday.
I wish everyone has a good holiday.
Everyone deserves something on Christmas. everyone.
I wish I were better equipped to help a family in need like that, without them knowing it was me.
Maybe one day I can help someone. Who knows?
Until then, you guys be safe, and have a great holiday season, however you celebrate.
Just remember to be thankful for what you do have. There is always someone out there a lot worse off than you.
