Now I am TOTALLY mad as hell. My appointment at the pepsi plant fell thru. I had my day off from work they gave me the day before.
I was going to use that time to go put in ce I left his shop.
I got mad and told my boss at the truck shop I'd make that run and after that I was quitting.
I then went to call his brother. I told him the exact same thing I told my boss, And he was all happy. " Come on in tomorrow!!! You don't worry about a thing!~!!! I'll handle everything!!!! I'll put you back to work!!!"
The next day I get up and go see him, and he is no where to be seen. He was there when I pulled up., cause I saw him at the tire shed.
I knew he was hiding from me.
Then the phone rang. It was his brother from the truck shop wanting to talk to me. How did he know I was there?
He wanted me to go unload the truck from the night before. He said that his brother called him and told him I'd asked for my job back. I said yea after I told you I quit.
"Well. he has enough people there now. He'd have to fire someone to put you back on"
"Then why did he tell me last night to come on in and he'd take me back?"
"well.." ( that was his only reply to me about that.
) The s. o . b. had talked him out of hiring me so they could keep me on that blasted 16 hour a day run none of his other drivers want.
just exactly like I said he would.
Is that dirty, and scheming and underhanded or what?that isn't the first time they've done me like that either.
And people wonder why I am not happy there.
I turned in all my work clothes before I took that load off. I told Robert ( my boss at the truck shop) that he didn't have to worry about me talking to his brother again. I was through with him. The man actually HID from me. He knew I was ticked off.
My brother ,who also works there, came up and asked me what was going on. The whole shop was full of people, and I told him very loudly I was tired of getting F@#$%^&ing lied to there at that place. I took my fists and slammed them down in the hood of my truck and said to hell with this place! I'll never set foot here again!! got in and tore off.
So now this week end I am looking up some of the local truck owners around here and seeing if they need any drivers.
I didn't want to haul logs, but it sure as heck beats working for some one like the people I'm with now.
He even had nerve enough to call me this morning and want me to change tires for him!!!
I didn't even answer the damned phone.

i think it's best you quit the place, they don't treat you like a person but more like an object they can abuse to their desire. It can and will only get better from here on compared to those stupid f.... you worked for now, good luck in finding something better where people still respect you!Posted 10-13-2007 at 06:10 PM by angelstar

well.. damn! that really stinks.
is that supposed to say "fire" or maybe I'm just misreading it....Quote:The s. o . b. had talked him out of hiring me so
Was just reading about the trucking industry and how there are many drivers out there with fake CDL licenses and major companys PAY for falsified test results.
They don't deserve a decent guy like you at all..and you don't deserve the junk they spit out at you either.Posted 10-13-2007 at 07:43 PM by Ducky
