'bright' translates to 'helder' in Dutch, but a 'heldere hemel', a 'bright sky' mainly has the connotation of 'cloudless', 'clear'. So the night can be dark, but the sky still bright. And that's before you start looking at screensetttings and whether your LCD is tilted correctly..... !
